Debuting his first Menswear collection for ETRO, Marco de Vincenzo pays homage to the brand’s history as well as his own roots. Emphasizing the ‘matter’ that fashion is built around, Marco focuses on the fabrics that make up garments and connects ETRO with his own personal life. Stacks of fabrics from ETRO's archives decorate the backdrop of the runway while various garments feature patterns reproduced from Marco’s favorite childhood blanket.
Garments appeal to both sight and touch with 3D crocheted fruits and hallucinatory patterns. Long shirts and overalls resembling curtains, dress shirts mimicing tablecloth, and blusons made from upholstery fabrics give the essence of domestic camouflage. Small details tie the collection together; tops and shorts made with plush fabrics provide comfort while garments lined with hidden patterns create excitement.
