A dice tumbles across a table, metal keys clank, and chairs move musically. Yohji Yamamoto POUR HOMME reveals an exclusive collaboration with Paris-based creative studio M/M (Paris) for its Spring/Summer 2025 season. Together, they present an abstract symphony that reimagines the body as furniture.

This collection features nine sculptural garments–jackets, shirts, and trousers–that reinterpret speculative furniture, originally designed for the catalog. Each piece feels like a sketch in motion: You can feel the pen scribbling, spontaneity frozen on fabric. Through layered transparencies, discharged prints, and appliqué techniques, they manifest in the garments to distort dimensionality. Asymmetry is captured with intent rather than accident. The monochrome becomes the language, and the fabric behaves like a living space.

The collection debuted exclusively at a pop-up installation at The Stage, Isetan Shinjuku Men’s Building in Tokyo, from April 23 to April 29. A second pop-up is forthcoming in Kyoto.

The work is an invitation to renegotiate the body’s architecture and its intimacy with negative space. Stripped of color, yet saturated in emotion, one is compelled to question the relationship with space, form, and movement–prompting evaluation of what is worn versus what is inhabited. Together, Yohji Yamamoto Inc. and M/M (Paris) have translated their critical thoughts on design language into an innovative form of materiality.

The collection will be available exclusively in flagship stores in Paris, London, and New York.
