On October 10th, luxury fashion label Loro Piana held an exclusive event on Carbon Beach in Malibu, to celebrate the launch of their Autumn Winter 2023 Cocooning Collection. The collection returns but this time with a respective men’s sector, merging an innovative aura and excellence transcending the knitted undergarments into what we would consider a warm embrace. The softness and relaxed silhouettes featured in the collection make for an opulent wardrobe overflowing with simplicity and elegance alike.

The relaxed attitude of the clothing is reflective in the materials used, such as Aircash, a thin yet warm cashmere yarn that lays blissfully on the skin. Along with Aircash is Cashmere Fleece, a 100% cashmere knitted fabric – specifically crafted so that it is always a stand out. In the collections counterpart, the women’s silhouettes include raised stripes, thin ribs and buttery pullovers with subtle waffle stitches, tied together with round necks and dropped shoulders. In typical Loro Piana fashion, the palette is nothing short of tasteful as the colors shift to seasonal burgundy and rich creams.

To complete the range in the collection, there are Airchash socks and legwarmers, Cashfur, a tribute to the house’s finest cashmere – a blend of silk yarn – available in home boots. Anything and everything in this collection can be found and felt in a world of comfort – a Loro Piana standard. Mixed with the raw materials, dreamy and skillful craftsmanship, as well as the elegance put into this collection, can all be seen in the dedicated campaign shot by photographer Alasdair McLellan, and styled by Aleksandra Woroneicka. Guests who enjoyed the beachside event included: Madelaine Petsch, Patrick Schwarzenegger, Sofia Richie Grainge, Gavin Casalengo, Mimi Cuttrell, among others.

Attendees were set to sit along for a sound bath that was intended to evoke the Cocooning feelings reminiscent of the calmness the beach has to offer, mixing that with a meditative experience allowed for the serenity and warmth, much like the collection, to be achieved. Following this activity were cocktails accompanied with a fire-side live performance by Aidan Bissett, and then a seated dinner by Chef Yann Nury to close the night.
