For their 2025 Fall Winter Leather Goods and Accessories Collection, Bulgari is channeling the serpent as they unveil their equally seductive and hypnotizing collection. It embraces modernity while also honoring the past stylistic identities of not only the brand but also ancient Rome. Headed by creative director Mary Katrantzou, it merges the textures of leather and jewelry gemstones to craft bags that seek to entice. The juxtaposition of the bag's smooth and uniform leather design and the curved and scale-patterned handle representing a serpent creates an alluring compilation and demonstration of delicate craftsmanship. 

The symbolism of femininity and transformation fuels the collection and shows Bulgari's evolution as a leading trailblazer in the modern jewelry world. The serpent itself, as a symbol, has transcended eras and outlived hundreds of species that have come and gone, which, to no surprise, has become a recurring motif in fashion, religion, and culture. The collection pieces unveiled include a heart-shaped handbag introduced as the Serpenti Cuore 1968, the Divas’ Dream Marquise Bag, the Serpentine Duette evening bag, as well as the Serpenti Calla collection reinventing texture with the introduction of a brand new pattern for the brand.

The motif of the serpent extends beyond the signature top handles of the bags, as the leather bag itself is composed of two halves of a heart, almost signifying the two personalities and duality of a serpent at its core. The serpent-shaped top handle is a visual representation of dominance and feminine power, as the curvature of the serpent's body emulates flexibility and sleekness, a trait that also defines the collection in terms of its versatility in styling and occasion. With other bags, the serpent and reptilian design completely envelop the bag, with the Calla Motif bag and its body taking on the patterned scales of a serpent. It is a collection of elegance, fervor, and distinctiveness using leather, gold-plated handles, and meticulously crafted gemstone designs to imitate the complexity and individuality of a serpent’s and other reptilian scales.
