On September 26th and 27th, the most FOMO-inducing Boiler Room event may have taken place. Up in San Francisco, attendees experienced unforgettable performances from line-up acts including JPEGMAFIA, Snow Strippers, Tove Lo & SG Lewis, Peaches, and Fcukers. The Boiler Room served as the ultimate pregame to the Portola Festival, setting the stage for an unforgettable weekend of curated electronic dance music.
Performances carried the specialty of Club Heat, with Tove Lo & SG Lewis making their debut performance at the event. From heated body language, backup dancers, and legs vertical to the air, the two managed to create a set that was impossible to resist.
How were the other performances, you may ask? JPEGMAFIA, with the recently dropped album I LAY DOWN MY LIFE FOR YOU, came to stun with a black cowboy hat. Snow Strippers delivered a mesmerizing yet semi-frantic performance with hair-in-the-face hand gestures, accompanied by teal and flashing red lights to track Under Your Spell. It truly raised the infamous track question of So What If She’s A Freak?. Fcukers added a unique and transcendent sound with her cover of Devils Cut setting the tone for the rest of the night. Finally, Peaches arrived with a legendary crowd surf in perhaps the largest Demonias you’ve ever seen, wearing a hot pink puffed-up bodysuit suitably cushioned for the willing crowd at hand.
