Los Angeles-via-Georgia singer/songwriter Katelyn Tarver has announced another single from her upcoming project titled _Subject To Change,_ which is slated to release October 15_._
Along with her highly praised _Kool Aid_ EP in 2018 and co-writing credits with renowned songwriters, Tarver has starred in shows from _Big Time Rush_ and _Famous In Love_ to HBO’s _Ballers_ with Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson and NBC’s primetime hit show _Songland_, which she won. In the latest single, "All Our Friends Are Splitting Up," Tarver shares her feelings on the complexities of long term relationships and the importance of staying and fighting.
“In early adulthood, it seems like there’s a period of time where everyone you know is settling down, and then there’s a period of time where it feels like everyone you know is breaking up. No one ever intends to end up in the latter category. You don’t get married with the thought that one day you might get divorced, yet it happens all the time. That has always been fascinating to me. I got married young, and my relationship felt impenetrable. And then I realized it wasn’t. It’s no joke to commit yourself to another person and stick with them as you’re each still becoming who you are,” shared Tarver. “This song is a look at the complexities of a long term relationship. The fear that can creep up when you feel disconnected, and the realization that you can’t predict what problems you’re going to run into when you decide to spend your life with someone. All you can do is promise to stay and fight for each other when those problems feel really big.”
