Based on the 1962 Dutch novel, De Brief voor de Koning, by Tonke Dragt, William Davies’ new Netflix adaptation tells the story of Tiuri, a teenage squire, who answers a call for help and navigates the three fictionalized kingdoms of Unauwen, Dagonaut, and Evillan, on a treacherous journey to deliver a secret letter to the King. Meanwhile, the brutality of the merciless Prince Viridian complicates matters for Tiuri, enlisting him to rise to the challenge. We ask Amir Wilson, Ruby Serkis, Gijs Blom, and Thaddea Graham, of their respective journeys filming _Letter for the King_. **You all filmed in New Zealand and eventually Prague. What are some of the most effective ways you stay focused when travelling and being far from home?** It’s good that we had each other; it was helpful because we were all so far from home, we could all relate on that level. So, being far from home and not having our families with us, we had each other and that’s how we formed a family. Which qualities of yourselves do you most wish to impart into _Letter for the King?_** I haven’t thought about what I’ve put of myself into Tiuri. I hope what I’ve put into him comes naturally. Naturally, he has bits of me that you see. **Why is the Young Adult genre important?**  You see so many influencers out there, like climate change activists. It’s always the young people that are stepping up to change the world; the adults are broken. Our story can relate to young people that are stepping forward to do something.
