Last Friday, Cafe Erzuile hosted Kah-Lo’s first-ever show in New York, a very exciting moment for the Nigeria-born, New York City-based artist. First emerging to the scene in 2016 with guest vocals on Riton’s Grammy-nominated “Rinse & Repeat,” then dropping her solo debut single “[Fasta”](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sI5G09Z-lXY) in 2017, and TikTok famous “[Fake I.D.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4GmLoVGmgDw)”, and most recently [_The Arrival_](https://open.spotify.com/album/1OTee7Y96zHrodzEmflRVe?dl_branch=1&si=nL-IM_27TGafXMpnBOeJNw) EP released earlier this year, it’s no wonder her show was a crowd packed hour-long dance party in 2018, it’s no wonder her show was a crowd packed hour-long dance party. Nothing shorter than impressive, her list of collaborations include Idris Elba on “Ballie,” Selena Gomez on the “Back To You Remix,” Diplo on “Give Dem,” and Micheal Brun on “Melanin.” Proving everything she touches turns to gold. Most recently Kah-Lo dropped her debut EP [_The Arrival_](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-hJlBtmazgo&list=OLAK5uy_l_OXVTGJkBC-eynl4LCfsQtLASj7WbYcc)_,_ a seamless fusion of wild rhythms, dancefloor-ready beats, and skyscraping hooks.

Kah-Lo looked incredible as always with her signature green hair. She performed a handful of new tracks from her EP, as well as her biggest hits including ‘Rinse & Repeat’, ‘Fake ID’, and ‘Ginger’, and ‘Melanin’ her track with Michael Brun who was in attendance. Still new to the scene, Kah-Lo is just starting, but her vocals and sound as a solo artist will take her very far.
Making an effort to support her local community, $2 from every ticket of the show went towards The Coalition for The Homeless.
