[CC Clarke](https://www.instagram.com/ccclarke/?hl=en) is far more than just a pretty face, she’s a musician in her own right. The London-based singer-songwriter has been creating music since she was little, handwriting her own lyrics with her parents convinced she was copying poems. Her first big break arrived creating a pop ballad called “Solo” for a Maybelline advert as part of their Color Sensational campaign… and the rest was history.
Now, she returns to unleash the official acoustic music video for her latest single “Boys Do Cry,” premiered today exclusively on _Flaunt_. Inspired directly by the milestones she’s achieved in her career thus far, which includes welcoming her first child last year, the record speaks volumes to her current mental state with an empowering message for all those who listen. The song is about overcoming the fear in breaking down barriers and channeling your most vulnerable state in order to feel and heal—and that goes for not just boys but all of us!
Speaking on the visual, CC states, “A lot of people think the blue was to represent the male gender as the song is about ‘boys’, but in fact the blue visuals represent the tears we cry along with the feeling! I was originally going to fill a bath with blue water but being 9 months pregnant for the shoot, we decided against it! I want people to take away that blue is not just a colour but a feeling that we can all relate to and feel less alone.”
