[Dyllón Burnside](https://www.instagram.com/dyllonburnside/?hl=en) was born to entertain the masses, and he’s doing just that. The definition of a multi-hyphenate, the Pensacola, Florida native is a singer, songwriter, performer, and actor, best known to the world as playing Ricky on FX’s _Pose_. Additionally, he was recently seen guest starring on an episode of _American Horror Stories_, also on FX and now on the hit Broadway Show, _Thoughts Of A Colored Man._
Burnside first got his start as a member of boy band 3D, before shifting to his own solo artistry. Fast forward to 2021, he has two chart-topping singles to his name: “Silence” and “Heaven.” For the latter, he now pairs a cinematic visual to match, bringing “Heaven” to life in true Dyllón Burnside form.
Given Dyllón’s Christian upbringing, he was exposed to anti-gay sentiments as a youngster. Now, he channels those traumas to share a whole new perspective that challenges the narratives surrounding queer love as “wrong” or “bad.” The song itself pays homage to the celebration of LGBTQ love, inspiring and reminding listeners to love one another more, stronger, harder — to fight for love and take pride in it because love is universal.
Speaking on the song, Burnside states, “‘Heaven’ was inspired by a desire to express love. I wanted to write a song that reflected my feelings about and experiences of falling in love and making love. I grew up pretty religious and was taught that God is love, that God is the pathway to Heaven. If both of those are true, then love is the pathway to Heaven.”
The visual was directed by Director Vaughn, and executively produced by Quinette Entertainment and Dyllón Burnside Productions.
