You may recognize her from Zeus Network’s hit show _Joseline’s Cabaret_, where fans immediately fell in love with her confidence and out-of-this-world personality. Dubbed the Carolina Princess, Big Lex brings that same energy into her music. Now, she releases her highly-anticipated new single titled “Face Down,” produced by DJ Chose. The inspiration came immediately as she heard the beat, triggered after hearing “I Wanna Rock (Doo Doo Brown)“ by 2 Live Crew which she fondly remembers listening to with her mother growing up.   She explains, “I knew exactly where I wanted to take the direction of the song! I really appreciate it because I love the original song. My mom had us twerking at 4 years old. \[laughs\] It’s an honor to recreate such a classic! I was able to be as nasty as I want to be.“ Knowing the court battle history that ‘2 Live Crew’ and ‘Uncle Luke’ fought with the government to have their music played without censorship here in the U.S. Lex hopes fans will listen to this record and use it as a freedom of speech.  She reminds the masses: “I’ll never let anyone quiet my voice, quiet my music, or quiet my opinion. I am a strong individual black woman that appreciates all music, so TALK THAT SHIT too!”
