The DJ/producer duo composed of Chris Chronicles and Alex Andre came into fruition in 2012 out of Toronto, Canada, and made a name for themselves with their standout remixes. Now, DVBBS returns with their newest effort titled “Losing Sleep,” tapping alternative, low-fi sensation Powfu who went viral for his record “death bed (coffee for your head)” which recently surpassed one billion streams on Spotify alone. Speaking on the record, DVBBS state, “‘Losing Sleep’ is for all the people out there that have had their hearts broken, but want still want to rage their faces off. We’ve been huge fans of Powfu ever since he broke into the scene. Once we found out he’s also Canadian, we naturally started clicking over the internet. He sent us an acoustic version and we worked it from there, it has so many different emotions all wrapped up in one.” With “Losing Sleep,” DVBBS hope fans can understand there are absolutely no boundaries with them. They add, “We hear things that some people would consider the impossible. I saw a fan DM us this morning and he wrote ‘wow this is so chill and fire”... it made me laugh, because it’s such a great way to describe a chill acoustic record flipped into something with synths—that can also make a crowd want to go ballistic.” Listen to “Losing Sleep” above and turn up for the summer!
