Stems Gallery presents _Royal Gala_, the first solo exhibition of the French artist, Léo Luccioni, on view at the gallery until April 17th.
_Royal Gala_ introduces a distorted Garden of Eden, where commercial symbols are stripped of their original contexts to reincarnate in objects, floating between a day dream and spiritual materialism. The exhibition is named after the iconic variety of apple, the “Royal Gala”—the forbidden fruit with an advertising slogan. Whether we bite into it is up to us, but we are invited to.
Luccioni is a French artist, living in Brussels, whose work highlights the ambiguity of man’s relationship with consumerism. His pieces become characters of fictional narration, comically similar to entrepreneurial storytelling.
