The cross-cutting Los Angeles artist, [Tyler Matthew Oyer](https://www.instagram.com/tmostudio/?hl=en), released his new single “CRY,” as a first look into his upcoming _NO TEMPLE_ EP produced by Ben Babbit and mastered by Heba Kadry. Oyer says “CRY” is a reconciliation song, following the unpredictable path that comes with grief and loss. Combined with expressive vocals and reverberated sounds, Oyer reveals his journey of emotions and the resolution that followed.
“CRY” is his first single since 2017, featuring production by Stockholm based musician [Yoann Durant](https://www.instagram.com/yoanndurant/?hl=en). Incorporating his ever-growing theatrical, goth pop vibe, this release was inspired by some of his favorite artists and history of visual art and writing.
Speaking on the track Oyer mentions, “While this EP has an overall revolutionary tone, it also gets personal and sensitive. I wrote “CRY” very quickly, dipping into a reservoir of loss, grief, and longing. CRY is an attempt at reconciling these emotions, those which make us human and serve as a compass for how we see and feel others. It's the most tender song on _NO TEMPLE_. I think this global pandemic is a meaningful context to put out a song about tenderness.”
The song fluctuates between soft sounds and powerful synths, building and falling with his vocals. “CRY” evokes a rollercoaster of emotions. Take a listen below.
