Delving into abstraction Sean Kelly Gallery welcomes its latest exhibition Turn–an introspective exploration of reason itself from Scottish painter Callum Innes. His first solo exhibition in Los Angeles in over thirty years, Turn features an array of lush nuanced series, including his Exposed Paintings, Split Paintings, and Shellac Paintings, alongside his new Tondo works, which marks a major transition in the painter's approach.

There is a fine, transcendent evolution in Innes' work, something visceral in capturing the lasting resonance of emotion. From the rich format of colors, the use of materiality to explore the elements, and his approach to brush fluidity, he welcomes all to his meditative abstraction.

Turn is on view now through May 4th at Sean Kelly Gallery in Los Angeles.
