Sweden’s premier sportswear brand J.Lindeberg teams up with the 2023 Wimbledon Champion and current World No. 9 Markéta Vondroušová for a multi-year contract, announcing the tennis star as their newest brand ambassador. Known for their fashion-forward takes on golfwear, skiwear, and tennis wear, J.Lindeberg looks to establish its name in the professional tennis scene with Vondroušová spearheading the charge.
“We are so thrilled to welcome Marketa to the J.Lindeberg family. Her tenacity, skill, and groundbreaking achievements on the tennis court perfectly mirror our brand’s commitment to tireless innovation and pushing boundaries,” says J.Lindeberg CEO Hans-Christian Meyer. “Like J.Lindeberg, Marketa is a true game-changer, making waves and challenging the conventional.”
Vondroušová became the first unseeded woman to win the title at the All England Lawn Tennis Club, defeating Tunisia’s Ons Jabeur. With her deft touch, spectacular movement around the court, and tricky lefty play, her unconventional game and achievements pair well with J.Lindeberg’s fusion of functionality and fashion. Vondroušová will debut her partnership at the upcoming US Open in New York.
“I’m very excited to partner with J.Lindeberg, since it’s a brand that aligns with my core values and we share a vision for breaking new conventions in the tennis world,” Vondroušová says. “Their new collection offers a unique crossover between high-end fashion and athletic performance with a design that is trendy, stylish and athletic.”
