When you enter a clothing store, you think you know what to expect. You understand how shops look and function, with people keeping to themselves, rustling through the racks. That is, until you step into Kith and find yourself entering a community center, a space of customer service and conversation at a bar that serves cereal. Kith, the multimillion-dollar streetwear brand, embodies the celebration of togetherness and style. On July 4th, Kith’s new flagship opens along the scenic coast of Malibu.
Kith Malibu marks their third location in California, offering Kith men’s, women’s, and kid’s lines, in addition to footwear and accessories. To commemorate the grand opening, Kith partnered with New Balance to redesign footwear in Kith-exclusive hues. Inspired by the energy of Malibu, Kith created a line of apparel, accessories, and lifestyle products centered around the beach, including vintage-washed tees, crewnecks, caps and a beach towel.
In more ways than one, Kith Malibu is a calm refuge from the hot sun. Ronnie Fieg, founder and CEO of Kith, is one of streetwear’s most influential creatives and entrepreneurial masterminds. Fieg always dreamt of opening a cereal bar, as his parents didn’t allow him to eat sugary cereals at home. In 2015, Kith Treats was born. Served exclusively at its Malibu location for a limited time, Kith Treats will reintroduce The Caramel Soba Cha Swirl in collaboration with Nobu.
The space itself is truly stunning. Kith Malibu opens doors Thursday, July 4th at 11AM.
