The innovative mind of Marcelo Burlon has teamed up with the timeless Levi’s brand to release a limited-edition denim jacket and jeans pairing in honor of the Levi’s famed 501 line’s 150th anniversary. Starting June 22, the collection will be available for purchase on Marcelo Burlon’s website.
With a checkered, pixellike design element tying the two items together, the light-washed jacket puts a modern spin on the vintage Levi’s Type II Trucker Jacket. It complements the darker pair of jeans, which taper off into a gradient of colorblocked blues. Crafted in Japan at one of the world’s finest denim mills, Kaihara Mills, the collection’s straight leg jeans are a callback to the first pre-shrunk Levi’s jeans introduced in the early 1960s.
