Maurice Lacroix is proudly introducing the new PONTOS S Diver, a timepiece unafraid to take a dive. Building upon the original 2013 model, this diver’s watch from the Jura-based brand incorporates numerous improvements while maintaining the essence of its inaugural version, especially its iconic design. Throughout the development process, the Swiss company sought the expertise of Lidija Lijic, a world champion freediver and ML Crew member, renowned for her record-breaking underwater endurance of five minutes forty-three seconds. Lidija, who explores the extremes of human performance, was the perfect individual to thoroughly test the watch’s capabilities. 

Although this iteration is fresh, it adheres to the established design principles and continues the brand’s affinity for urban-inspired aesthetics. Furthermore, in line with other Maurice Lacroix timepieces, the new PONTOS S Diver is meticulously crafted in the brand’s Swiss Manufacture, ensuring exceptional quality. It exudes a sense of elevated value, staying true to Maurice Lacroix’s unwavering belief that certain aspects should remain unchanged. 

This latest iteration of the PONTOS S Diver offers a variety of options. The steel models are available with either a black grained or white lacquered dial. As for the limited-edition bronze model, only 500 pieces are produced, featuring an exquisite blue grained dial. The crown positioned at two o’clock is accentuated with a coordinating circlet, ensuring its visibility underwater. At the core of the PONTOS S Diver lies the automatic ML115 caliber, eliminating the need for manual winding while worn. The bronze version comes with two straps: a vintage dark blue leather strap adorned with the company’s M-logo, and a second strap in dark blue rubber with ‘Maurice Lacroix’ embossed on it. During the launch, the steel models are accompanied by three color-coordinated straps: an M-branded fabric strap and two rubber straps with raised Maurice Lacroix branding. The watch is equipped with the company’s Easy Strap Exchange System, allowing for hassle-free strap swapping without the requirement of any tools. 

The return of the PONTOS S Diver brings forth an enhanced version that exceeds all expectations. This model is the result of a collaborative effort, drawing inspiration from Lidija’s pursuit of heightened performance, and has undergone rigorous testing in the most demanding environments. It is ideally crafted for underwater exploration while also serving as the ideal companion for urban lifestyles.
