Even in the intricacies of fashion lie art unfolding, something so powerful in creation it supersedes what the naked eye might see upon first glance. Fashion has the means of cultivating understanding, creating both shared and personal meaning that is perpetuated even more so from an artistic lens. Just as art can express, so can clothing, and for menswear brand Paris Laundry, the two intermeshed allows wearers to see beyond the imagination. With the FRIEZE Los Angeles Art Fair underway, the luxury fashion brand introduces a special pop-up at The Webster showcasing their latest revelation: an exclusive collection with acclaimed artist Larissa de Jesús Negrón.
For de Jesús Negrón, this collection is the coming together of two unique art forms– something tangible melding with the intangible. She shares, “As a fine artist venturing into design, it’s exciting to see a collection reflect snippets of the iconography I’ve developed in painting throughout the years. I’m very grateful for the opportunity to create something beautifully unique next to Guy Samuels.”
The collaboration comes as a fusion of high end New York styles and the Los Angeles art scene, allowing visitors a one-of-a-kind shopping experience imbued with a sophisticated artistic vision. Featuring t-shirts, jeans, and jackets all illustrated with a wide array of art from Larissa de Jesús Negrón, Paris Laundry has cultivated a new line inspired by the distinctive nature of two varying cultures. The collection will exclusively be available at The Webster and Paris Laundry websites.
