Willy Chavarria presents the Spring/Summer 2025 collection Welcome to ‘América’ at New York Fashion Week. Serving as a celebration of the prevailing legacy built on dreams, resilience, and limitless possibility, ‘América’ upholds its immigrants in an exploration of diversity, beauty, and community within the world of fashion.

In three runway movements, Willy Chavarria expresses how his thinking occurs: Fine Fashions, Willy Produce, and Community Center. By tailoring his ideal pursuits into Italian cotton sportswear, he creates new shapes that personify ideas of American ingenuity. Each chapter originates along with the emotional range of the Willy Chavarria humanity wardrobe.

A partnership with adidas is announced as part of the runway show—a partnership that sprouts from mutual admiration between the two brands. The second chapter reveals twenty-two collaborative looks with the objective of defying the expectations in sportswear and fashion.

A special feature of the collaboration is the revamping of the archival adidas “Jabbar” sneaker, created in 1978 for basketball legend Kareem Abdul Jabbar. Chavarria shares, “I have long admired Kareem Abdul Jabbar’s consistent voice through his talent, and I am so proud to create a collection with the same message. It was important for me to highlight the achievements Jabbar made on and off the court that played such a crucial role in shaping the culture today.”

Other highlights include Chavarria’s capsule collection with Don Julio Tequila, which celebrates the Tequila Don Julio 70 Añejo Cristalino Artist Edition bottle designed by Chavarria himself. The limited-edition glassware sees the designer’s take on Mexican iconography with roses por amor, “for love,” while the runway takes on pieces such as linen guayabera shirt, a straw ranchero hat, and a bolo tie. Chavarria honors his Mexican American heritage with the capsule collection, using Don Julio as the timepiece through which he pays homage to his roots and sets "the table with the standard."

The collection is integrated through the presence of the Willy workwear uniform, featuring The Jalisco Oxford created in collaboration with Allen Edmonds. Surpassing seasonal wear, occasion, and gender, the pieces of ‘América’ are multifaceted and universally accessible.
