The set’s a collection of their greatest hits from their past four albums and three covers, recorded live with a string quartet. This performance of “Trouble” is from the band’s sold-out hometown show at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium. "The song is about a conversation between two close friends discussing universal trials and adversities,” front man Matt Shultz explains. “It also confronts conversations full of projecting and half truths. And that only love can pull us through this shadowy place and the struggle we call life.” _Unpeeled_ was recorded over a series of intimate shows in cities including Los Angeles, Washington DC, Knoxville, and Nashville. “Many times you’re adding sonic layers looking for something to hide behind,” Shultz says of the album’s inspiration, “and what you don’t realize is that that vulnerability and that nakedness might be the most compelling and interesting thing about the song.”
