Not many musical artists can say they have explored the jungles of Africa and Brazil, conducted HIV research and awareness programs, performed classical compositions in China, and been taken under the wings of Peaches. Forget the title of a “triple threat”—Simonne Jones can boast all these achievements and more before even releasing her first EP, _Gravity._
_Gravity,_ out on May 27th via Vertigo Berlin, is Jones’ first formal release, a combination of her beginnings in classical music, her fascination with science and the unknown, and the influences of her mentor Peaches, all resulting in an ethereal electro-pop sound.
“I have an unquenchable curiosity, and I believe big breakthroughs in these realms change the world,” says Jones. “The limitless possibilities of our existence and what we can do with it drives me, and it comes off in every song I write.”
This curiosity and eccentricity is evident in her music with its electronic sound, poetic lyrics, and experimental composition.
