Maeve, real name Arianna Broderick hailing from the Cayman Islands, shares her newest track “Sick” off of her debut EP _Caravaggio in a Corner Store_ due out June 17th. Following the release of “Manic Pixie Dream Girl” and “Bleach”, Maeve’s self-produced track takes notes from the experimental pop ethos. Speaking on the track, Maeve says, “It’s a song about pure infatuation, and wanting to have every piece of someone when you’re trying to work out if the other person feels the same way. We found something really special in a place where you would least expect it - we’ve made a broken masterpiece in this unstable world. We’re messy, we’re sick, we’re in love, and we don’t give a fuck.”
Inspired by Funkadelic’s Maggot Brain and performance artist Marina Abramović’s Rest Energy, the single artwork is about trust—trusting yourself. Watch the video below and get buried in Maeve’s world.
