Delighting in 1800 tequila cocktails and unforgettable performances, inhabitants of Los Angeles gathered at the Born X Raised Sadie Hawkins winter formal at the Hollywood Palladium on Tuesday, November 21st. With its ninth iteration came emotion and nostalgia, as the event commemorated the life of Chris “Spanto” Printup, the cofounder of Born X Raised who passed away in late June.

Brought to life in 2013, Born X Raised takes great pride in keeping the legacy of Los Angeles alive. The celebration commenced drainks forom the Levi's bar and with gifts of Dr. Martens Born X Raised 1461 collaboration shoes to its VIP guests within the walls of the main ballroom, where portraits of Spanto were exhibited amongst the dance floor. The commemoration embodied honor and delicacy, as a remarkable memorial by Mariachi artist Julian Torres and a performance by rapper YG followed a sincere expression by Anna Printup, Spanto’s wife. The Born X Raised family were tremendously supported in their homage to Los Angeles and Spanto, surrounded by attendees such as Wiz Khalifa, Paloma Elsesser, Danny Trejo, Miguel, Ohgeesy and many more.
