Known for their signature Intrecciato-crafted handbags, Bottega Veneta has unquestionably distinguished itself in the fashion world. Now under the creative reign of Matthieu Blazy, the brand is forging a path toward timelessness. Alongside their Winter 2023 campaign, Bottega Veneta will be debuting a limited edition set of books in fanzine format, free of charge, accessible to all. The four volumes relay the creative process behind the Winter 2023 collection, brimming with original sketches, campaign outtakes, and behind-the-scenes images that underscore the energy of each look. Moreover, the volumes give readers access to the collages and fabric close-ups comprising the collection's tactile details.

Since stepping into his role as Creative Director for the brand, Blazy has established himself as an artisan with a meticulous approach to his craft. Last year, upon the arrival of the Winter 2022 Foundation Collection, Blazy’s first collection as artistic director, was the release of a Bottega Veneta book that further examined the seasonal collection. From that point on, this notion has persisted as each collection launched in-store features a visual tale behind its conception. With the intention to give us something tangible, each book probes for a more personal look at Blazy's creative direction, taking note of what ideas the brand is paying homage to and what the season's work attempts to convey. The books serve as a gateway into all that the brand encompasses.

Commissioned by Blazy himself, original sketches by British Cypriot designer Hussein Chalayan underscore the feel of each look, while the campaign outtakes show us the physical manifestation of Blazy’s vision in a day-to-day setting. Also featured are behind-the-scenes photographs of Vieni a Vedere, an immersive installation created by Italian architect, Gaetano Pesce, fully brought to fruition at the Bottega Veneta Montenapoleone Milan Store.

With the insight and craftsmanship of designers, craftspeople, and artists, the collection and fanzine capture the brand's collective spirit.  The four volumes are encased in a Stracciatella-inspired slipcase, reminiscent of the Winter 2023 show floor, available September 7th, in all Bottega Veneta stores worldwide.
