The first hot day of summer feels like the start of a three-month holiday. The comfort of high temperatures grazing your skin like a gentle caress, inviting you to shed layers of inhibition and embrace the sun's warmth as if it were a long-lost friend. Beads of sweat slide down your side like the melting of a popsicle. You plunge into the water to feel new again, and when you resurface you take note of the pastel sky as if seeing it for the first time. On days like today, water-colored flowers on a hill begin to bloom.
The feeling can only be matched by the blossoming scent of Gucci Flora perfumes. In celebration of summer, the Maison collaborated with Grammy award-winning artist and face of the Gucci Flora perfume line, Miley Cyrus to host a poolside party at the famed Chateau Marmont hotel in Los Angeles. Taking place this past Thursday, the event welcomed Hollywood celebrities and guests the likes of Kendall Jenner, Salma Hayek Pinault, Kim Petras, David LaChapelle, Chloe Kim, Gucci Creative Director, Sabato De Sarno, and many more. Guests entered through a budding floral tunnel leading to a flourishing garden surrounding the Chateau’s iconic pool, drawing inspiration from the new Gucci Flora Gorgeous Orchid Eau de Parfum campaign.
Miley Cyrus delivered an exclusive performance, including a jazzy rendition of her hit song “Flowers”– fittingly, the official soundtrack for the new Gucci Flora campaign. The well-dressed crowd also enjoyed a showcase from DJ Alex Chapman all while enjoying a mix of floral-inspired desserts and hors d’oeuvres.
