Greeted with packets of seeds and a single bloom — an understated yet poignant nod to the looming uncertainty surrounding one of New York’s most cherished green spaces — guests were treated to Libertine’s exclusive Spring/Summer 2025 runway show. Fittingly titled Into The Garden, the intimate affair unfolded against the enchanting backdrop of Elizabeth Street Garden in SoHo. With the garden’s future hanging in the balance, Libertine used this whimsical presentation to spotlight the possible closure of this hidden oasis.

For nearly 25 years, Libertine has woven the essence of flora and fauna into its vibrant, eclectic DNA, making the Elizabeth Street Garden the ideal companion for its latest show. In a harmonious partnership, Libertine proudly supports the garden’s mission to remain a cherished sanctuary in the heart of the city, where tranquility and creativity blossom side by side. On the runway, reimagined vignettes from iconic New York and Los Angeles landscapes burst to life in a colorful, artful remix — a nod to two cities deeply entwined in Libertine’s story. Set against antiquities that transported attendees, the garden’s serene backdrop perfectly mirrored Creative Director Johnson Hartig’s own love of nature. Standout looks included intricate under-the-sea scenes with hand-beaded coral and gem-encrusted turtles, alongside lush prints, denim, solid silk hues, and whimsical greenery.
