In Loro Piana’s Spring Summer 2025 Collection, the Maison celebrates a full century of design and worldbuilding through a sartorial exploration. This collection is a culmination of summer’s best qualities. It is airy and light, with garments that are effortless and seamless. The luxury brand turns its focus to the use of fabrics that harmonize the story of summer with the body’s ability to interact with the world around it. Quality materials like silk, cashmere, and Sopra Visso wool help to create flowy forms that aid the story Sergio and Pier Luigi Loro Piana seek to tell in their latest designs.

The coveted linen textile serves as the centerpiece for their latest rollout, standing at the forefront of the presentation at the Palazzo with an exhibit titled, “All About Linen” wherein the room consisted exclusively of linen items.  The rest of the collection appeared in an earthy-toned exhibit. The fashion house demonstrated a distinctive loyalty to the art world by lacing the installation with pieces by Spanish artist, Adriana Meunié who is well-known for her work with wools. Her artwork presents linen in its most organic and unrefined form, honing in the true beauty of the flax-plant-derived fibres. Meunié breathes new life into this traditional summer staple, spotlighting the movement and life behind a fabric with the stigma of being stiff. In her artwork, linen moves, transcends, and adapts. Striving for brilliance and quality, the artist utilized numero metric 110 yarn, the finest linen yarn in existence. 

For Milan Fashion Week, the Maison plans to stage a wood and linen flower arrangement at the newsstand on Via Dei Giardini, where “Nuvola di Lino” cakes wrapped in gentle linen will be gifted to passersby in celebration of this collection. These cakes, hand-made from the Italian master baker and pastry chef, Nicola Olivieri, are a symbol of Loro Piana’s revelry in summer’s sweet promise of community, and serene attempt at aestheticism. 

This menswear line highlights Loro Piana’s push toward Linen Storm as opposed to Linen Tweed. It features flexible and breathable blazers for a sense of light sophistication, along with flowy shirt jackets, suede bomber jackets, and even longer coats. The outerwear is paired with bermuda shorts for a classy yet relaxed feel. The line also includes red anoraks aimed toward classic nautical themes. The brand’s understanding of the season’s needs is demonstrated through their strive for looks that fit the complexity of cool, summer nights. Pieces constructed with this intention include the Spagna jacket with satin detailing, the double-breasted wool and silk tuxedos, and the collared Spagna shirts.
