After Louis Vuitton's Menswear Creative Director, Pharrell Williams, in collaboration with Tyler, the Creator, took LV enthusiasts on a skydiving journey into the expansive imagination of the Louis Vuitton universe, now Pharrell for Pre-Fall 2024 navigates from the shores of Hawaii to the glamorous Avenue of Stars in Hong Kong's Victoria Harbour. This collection, rich with nautical themes, reimagines the vibrant energy and multicultural influences of global travels. It casts every wearer as a protagonist—be it as a sailor, fisherman, or surfer—creating a harmonious blend of Western and Eastern aesthetics, modernity and nostalgia, with a fusion of classic naval and hip-hop styles.

Sailors are in dandy silhouettes featuring pea and double-breasted naval coats adorned with pearl buttons and accents of miniature pearl strings on black coats and shorts. The seamless transition from classic naval style to hip-hop is epitomized by a shell-embroidered varsity jacket, which morphs into a hoodie with a sailor’s collar, and sweats trimmed with ship rope. As for fisherman, their wardrobe is redefined with a new infinity LV logo, intricately latticed like a net across a knitted cardigan, the jacquard of matching suits and shorts, and nylon sleeves of a mixed-material leather jacket. Patterns inspired by Hawaiian floral shirts and a denim bomber jacket, richly embellished with pearls and crystals, further enhance the theme. The surfer aesthetic is captured through scuba suits adorned with beaded logos, linen tailoring, and tropical floral prints featuring surfer motifs.

This season also debuts the 3D-printed LV Cobra slip-on, alongside Dandy loafers, Maxi Trainers, and Space Landers, enhancing the collection's versatility. Drawing inspiration from Hawaiian landscapes, a new surfing monogram has been introduced on Damier Denim 3D-lined bags and crafted in vibrant yellow Damier Scuba Leather to enrich its heritage. The collection concludes with an array of headwear including scuba and denim berets, chambray caps, sailor-bucket hats, and pearl-embroidered cotton beanies. It presents the cultural richness of Hong Kong’s Victoria Harbour and the leisurely luxury of the journey.
