Paging Passenger Rosé? Your flight is now boarding.
K-pop has officially touched down at Puma. Rosé—a budding member of Blackpink, a South Korean girl group—takes flight today as Puma’s newest Sportstyle ambassador. The idol, who broke the record for the most-viewed music video in its first 24 hours on YouTube as a solo K-pop artist in 2021, joins the likes of Rihanna, Dua Lipa and A$AP Rocky with her newest Puma partnership.
As Puma’s latest passenger, Rosé ushers in a hot new wave to its “Rewrite the Classics” program, which hopes to lure a new generation to timeless franchises like the Palermo and Speedcat. Maria Valdes, Puma’s chief product officer, says she’s excited to see Rosé “redefine our classic space.” Rosé’s first shoe of choice is the low-cut, football-inspired Palermo: “I am so excited to join the PUMA family,” she says. “I cannot wait for my fans to join my next chapter with PUMA.”
