The Autumn/Winter 2025 Collection from Yves Saint Laurent by creative director Anthony Vaccarello presents a sultry, sexy masculine curation down the runway. The collection is defined by the duality of seduction and class with finely tailored suits and garments shaping the collection. Senses are heightened in this collection, where the smell of whiskey, leather, and tobacco lingers amongst viewers.
Vaccarello presents a beautiful take on Saint Laurent’s identity as a fashion house. When from the beginning the brand has showcased elegance, luxury, and class, Vaccarello brings an essential sensuality to this collection. Pulling inspiration from the vast Saint Laurent archive, the collection carries remnants of haute couture collections initially presented by the house. The silhouettes sent down the runway feature timeless menswear tailoring with a modern edge. The textures and colors are dark and rich, with leather boots that reach the thigh in almost every look. Long trench coats and double-breasted blazers give the collection its sophisticated spirit but relaxed silhouettes provide captivating youth.
The production design of the show at the Bourse de Commerce features low, warm lighting and large chandeliers on the floor creating an ambiance that calls back to former Yves Saint Laurent Haute Couture shows from 1975-2001. The elements of this collection and its presentation are classy, cohesive, and provocative. Vaccarello presented a menswear collection that leaves audiences yearning for a kind of class seemingly lost in the past all while staying grounded in Saint Laurent’s design identity, defining innovation in classic looks.
