Introducing ZENITH and Carl Cox’s second collaboration, the DEFY Extreme is a limited edition capsule of 100 timepieces inspired by the world of DJing.  

DJ, producer, and friend of ZENITH, Carl Cox renowned for his contributions to electronic music, teamed up with the timepiece brand to innovate a watch that epitomizes authenticity and staying true to oneself. Drawing inspiration from a fundamental tool in the DJ’s career, components of his favorite turntable are depicted throughout different features of the watch.

Featured on the DEFY Extreme are three black chronograph counters that assume the form of miniature vinyl records and a minute track decorated with precisely aligned dots that take after the stroboscope effect found on the side of the turntable. The watch comes with a matte-finished stainless steel and yellow gold case to give it a retro-futuristic flair plus a black rubber strap and black velcro strap, which can be changed by using the case’s built-in strap-changing mechanism.  

ZENITH and Carl Cox bring us a timepiece that captures the spirit of the DJ and his craft, extensively derived from his musical beginnings. Because music and movement are the influences that inform this collaboration, Carl Cox x ZENITH, a special playlist curated by Cox himself will be available on Spotify and ZENITH’s website. 

The DEFY Extreme Carl Cox will become available exclusively on ZENITH’s site and boutiques worldwide on September 25th.
