Hailing from Plano, Texas and raised in Florida, but now based in Los Angeles, the singer-songwriter grew up doing musical theater—now equipped with the skillsets to be a seasoned entertainer. A confessional storyteller with an old soul and alluring skills of relatability and charm, her songwriter roots blend expertly with her breezy west coast spirit.
The singer-songwriter’s latest release embraces her vivid sound that fuses the honest introspection and expression of a seasoned songwriter to create an impressive sound that is uniquely hers. “We Both Know” is a lovestruck dance-floor anthem with a melody reminiscent of the likes of heavyweights and Liddy’s influences including Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran, and Maren Morris. The song also received a coveted stamp of approval from Liz Rose, GRAMMY-award winning Taylor Swift collaborator.
In 2020, Liddy went viral on [TikTok](https://www.tiktok.com/@liddyclark/video/6903658178270055685?source=h5_m&_r=1&is_copy_url=1&is_from_webapp=v1) after sharing her original song, "Wrapped Up In Roses," which was inspired by _The Bachelor_. Today, she returns with her latest single titled “We Both Know,” premiering exclusively on _Flaunt_. A student at the University of Southern California’s Thornton School of Music, the record was written during her freshman year of college. Liddy shared the song was inspired when two friends were flirting and everyone was inquiring about their status. One evening, a friend of Liddy’s unloaded her feelings… and “We Both Know” was born.
Speaking on the record, she states, “This song always makes me want to dance in my car while driving. Liddy shares her hope to empower and uplift others with this release, saying, “I hope it makes people feel happy, adventurous, and willing to take chances with the person they’re crushing on!”
