Before 2016, Hotel Oderberger Berlin was a pre-WWII bathhouse, originally opening in 1902. Over the years, it served various purposes, from public baths to an art exhibition hall, before transforming into a boutique hotel. Today, Hotel Oderberger operates as a family-owned boutique hotel in central Berlin.
With 70 rooms, 2 apartments, 5 tower suites, and 10 seminar rooms, the hotel has welcomed countless guests since its opening in 2016. Honoring its bathhouse origins, the hotel has restored and reopened the historic baths as a 20-meter pool. Surrounded by neo-Renaissance architecture, the space recreates the historical ambiance of the early 20th century. The pool also functions as an event venue, featuring a removable platform that accommodates up to 600 people—seamlessly blending its community space with its rich history.
Hotel Oderberger is more than just a hotel—it is also part of GLS Sprachenzentrum, Berlin’s premier language school. Each year, GLS Berlin sends 3,500 German, Austrian, and Swiss students abroad while welcoming 5,000 international study-abroad students in return.
Located inside the hotel, Restaurant Oderberger is a popular gathering and study spot for students. Housed in what was once the bathhouse’s power plant, the three-story restaurant combines an industrial aesthetic with the stylish ambiance found throughout the hotel.
Beyond its historic charm, Hotel Oderberger offers a range of modern amenities. Guests can enjoy the rooftop terrace, which provides panoramic views of Berlin, or make use of the 24/7 gym and sauna—perfect for a post-viewing workout or a relaxing sweat session.
The hotel's ground-floor bar serves both signature and internationally beloved cocktails. House specialties include a hibiscus-flavored mezcal cocktail named after Clint Eastwood and a coffee-infused Salty Carameltini. In addition to cocktails, the bar offers a carefully curated selection of wines and beers. With its cozy fireplace setting, it provides the perfect spot for a drink any night of the week.
