The annual Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival is lauded for bringing its attendees a total sensorial experience: from the unique musical lineup to the comprehensive transformation of the desert landscape into a self-contained municipality for festivalgoers, the preeminent event addresses the palettes of its patrons in totality: the ears, the touch, and, perhaps most interestingly, the tongue.

This year, Goldenvoice promises one of the most impressive culinary lineups yet: showcasing the diverse landscape of Angeleno eateries from fine dining to fast food. Organized by Culinary Director and F&B Director for Goldenvoice Festivals, Adrian Garcia, the festival will host over 75 restaurants from across the area, alongside a slew of activations.

Among them—Indio Central Market, which returns to the festival with 15 restaurants offering an eclectic range of dishes, some semi-local like Dave’s Hot Chicken and Prince St. Pizza, and others like All’Antico Vinaio, serving sandwiches from Florence, Italy. The entirety of the market takes place under one large, shaded tent, allowing guests to enjoy Korean BBQ Nachos from Chef Roy Choi’s Kogi, as well as Tacos Por Vida–the newest endeavor from Choi–lounging cooling out of the desert sun. Other dining options include Farmhouse Thai Kitchen or plant-based Forever Pie, with desserts from McConnell’s Fine Ice Cream and Happy Ice.

For the first time ever, Nobu will host a pop-up omakase in the Red Bull Mirage (reservations required on Dorsia). Curated by world-renowned chef Nobu Matsuhisa, the exclusive, immersive destination will offer Japanese-Peruvian dishes on-site for those seeking quiet, delectable refuge.

Also on the docket for the tenth time running will be the newest iteration of the illustrious worldwide dinner party hosted by Jim Denevan: Outstanding in the Field, which will be tucked quietly in the VIP Rose Garden. Each day offers a four-course, family-style celebration of the local produce in Coachella Valley, prepared a different chef each evening (this weekend, Silvia Barban, Diego Argoti, and Tara Monsod will provide the dinners; and next: Eric Greenspan, Bryon Lazaroff-Puck, and  Danielle & Alessandro Zecca).

In alignment with Coachella’s free-spirited ethos, there are a plentitude of options for guests on the go— Monty's Good Burger will offer a selection of surprises with Monty’s Dog House,  Monty's Treats, and Good Boy Matcha By Monty's. Campers will be able to enjoy street food by  Word of Mouth, bagels from Silverlake’s favorite breakfast food truck Yeastie Boys, and Five03 Pupusas Salvadoran-inspired flavors.

Festival food often forgoes ambience for convenience: such is not the case with the offerings in the Coachella lineup: sprinkled throughout the festival grounds, attendees will stumble upon a number of culinary enclaves and speakeasies, among them Mixteca, an “agave oasis hidden in plain sight” by New York City’s PDT (Please Don’t Tell). Others remain elusive (though they’re best found at Golden Hour).

Other bars on the premises that will require far less searching but promise equally rewarding experiences: LA natural wine bar Clink Wine Bar, or The Cabin,a unique craft cocktail experience by Houston Hospitality’s Mark and Jonnie Houston located in the Craft Beer Barn. Nonalcoholic bar The New Bar (located in GA and 12 Peaks VIP) is set to serve festival-inspired nonalcoholic craft cocktails and wine, beer, and canned drinks, and will be offering professional sunset portraits nightly at the Terrace location.

Coachella will host performances and exhibitions put on by some of today’s most exceptional generational talents—those who make music and art that shape our memories, our dreams, and our understandings of ourselves. Goldenvoice understands the necessity of its culinary offerings to transcend the fast snack between sets attitude, supporting some of the contemporary food space’s most exciting creators and curating what feels akin to a food festival within Coachella’s grounds.
