High-fashion spaces often appear contradictory to play, maturing beyond the whimsy and magic often intertwined with childhood ideas of art and style. MCM and Pet Therapy’s newest collaboration places creative direction back in the heart of youthful wonder, spearheaded by 11-year-old Altea Biagetti with Milan-based Atlelier Biagetti. The collaboration introduces a collection of innovative, pet-friendly poufs that reimagine eccentricity in the luxury sphere.
Intentionally crafted for both humans and their animal companions, these poufs—shaped like cats and dogs, and available in various sizes—provide a sensory experience for every part of a family. Designed with MCM Viestos and upcycled materials, the poufs can carry luxury from indoor relaxation to outdoor adventures. The partnership between MCM—a German brand specialized in “sophisticated rebellion”—and Pet Therapy—a visionary design brand co-created by the young Biagetti—highlights each brands' commitment to unique innovation.
To capture the spirit of the collection, the Giardino delle Arti in Milan has been reinvented into an open-air utopia hand-picked from a child’s sweetest dreams. Pet Therapy offers their vision of a home, complete with vibrant miniature houses, unconventional lighting structures and ample greenspace to play. The installation, which opened April 7 and runs until April 13, features the inventive poufs and oversized cat sculptures designed by Pet Therapy that invite every guest to reconnect with the sense of play.
The installation is further brought to life by daily activations, ranging from Pet Pilates, dog training, pet portraits and the brands’ newly-minted, pet-inspired fragrance collection. Here, whimsy isn’t just an accessory — it’s essential.
