Written thoughts are a way to transcend memories through generations and connect people through shared experiences. Montblanc explores this narrative through their latest collection “The Journey.” The collection delves into the power of writing and showcases pieces designed for a lover of words to bring along on their journey, wherever that encompasses.

During Milan Fashion week, the collection was showcased at the Salone dei Tessuti for exclusive guests. The “Writing Traveller” bag is uniquely designed to hold everyday office essentials, like writing utensils and notebooks. Timelessness exudes through the ostrich print leather and jacquard patterns pulled from the 1920s archival designs accompanied by the neutrality of the nature tones. The rest of the collection honors functionality with wearable elements featuring practical elements like crossbody straps and versatile hand or shoulder options, creating a polished business-like appearance.

Edinas Paper collaborated with the brand to create “The Tree of Writing.” Here, the symbolization of how writing traverses time and space extending throughout Montblanc’s roots to inspire its collections. Marco Tomasetta, Montblanc Artistic Director shares, “Since the beginning, Montblanc has designed pieces to accompany people on their journeys—whether crossing borders and cultures or exploring life by putting pen to paper. Paying homage to this concept at Milan Fashion week, a global destination where boundless creativity converges and people travel to from around the world, seemed only fitting.”

The brand connects writing and time to portray the sentimental value written thoughts and memories have when preserved throughout history. Guests, which included Lucky Blue Smith, Alex Pettyfer, Henry Golding, Bianca Brandolini and Alice Pagan, were given the opportunity to contribute to this idea and put pen to paper at the Montblanc Desk. Honoring their earliest venture into furniture and it’s connection to this latest collection through the brand's longlasting beacon to writing.
