Pop meets prep in Tommy Hilfiger’s new collection, Tommy Hilfiger x Andy Warhol. Inspired by the timeless icon, this Spring 2023 collection honors Warhol’s famed seaside retreat in Montauk, New York by exploring coastal clashes through color, print, and texture. The 28-piece collection features nautical prints and classic East Coast styles that are brought to life by sunset hues and ocean blues. Sweaters and swim shorts are decorated with pop art renditions of lobsters, combining Americana Old Money aesthetics with an animated Warholian color palette. The women’s wear channels a pool day at the country club with dreamy one piece swimsuits, daring yellow sweat shorts, and Risky Business-esque button ups.
In Fall 2022, Tommy Hilfiger launched their experiential creative playground, Tommy Factory, paying homage to Andy Warhol’s famed New York studio. Warhol’s The Factory is widely credited for being the epicenter of creative life for painters, filmmakers, designers, photographers, and musicians alike during the 1960s until Warhol’s death in 1987. Tommy Hilfiger himself met Warhol at The Factory and considers him a great source of inspiration. Hilfiger says of his own newfound creative haven that, “Tommy Factory isn’t a physical space, it’s a state of mind.” Tommy Factory philanthropically supports the endeavors of The Warhol Foundation.
Andy Warhol’s colorful spirit in conjunction with Tommy Hilfiger’s timeless designs create a sophisticated and sunny experience for the perfect summer day in the 2023 Tommy Hilfiger x Andy Warhol collection.
