The 1969 interview was conducted by four 16-year-old Danish schoolboys during Lennon and Ono’s winter visit to Thy in Northern Jutland. Along with never before seen photos taken by one of the boys Jesper Jungersen, the 33-minute recording originally intended for the boys’ local school magazine incudes the unreleased song "Radio Peace." At the auction, one of the four schoolboys, a now 68-year-old Karsten Højen, was present among the other patrons. "I am happy and surprised by the great hammer price achieved for the cassette tape. The meeting with John Lennon and Yoko Ono has had a great impact on our personal lives because we considered them as sort of political prophets and symbols of peace,” says Karsten Højen. “I hope that the new owner will enjoy listening to our conversation and be inspired in the same way as we were 50 years ago.” ![John Lennon_12.jpg](https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/56c346b607eaa09d9189a870/1632938359150-F8HN3TOGMB2BTFJ5JR8V/John+Lennon_12.jpg) ![John Lennon_10.jpg](https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/56c346b607eaa09d9189a870/1632938362599-PGIC3EW560Y6Y5DV65RN/John+Lennon_10.jpg) ![John Lennon_11.jpg](https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/56c346b607eaa09d9189a870/1632938359856-CVMMQ1VR0LPZP6N9DW7A/John+Lennon_11.jpg) #block-yui\_3\_17\_2\_1\_1632938053836\_19665 .sqs-gallery-block-grid { margin-right: -10px; } #block-yui\_3\_17\_2\_1\_1632938053836\_19665 .sqs-gallery-block-grid .sqs-gallery-design-grid-slide .margin-wrapper { margin-right: 10px; margin-bottom: 10px; }
