Paired with a visually stunning video, the whimsical song is reminiscent of a lullaby of the funkiest electronic variety. The group, which is comprised of members Sarah Kue, Dylan White, and Ben Johnson, welcomes viewers into their ethereal universe filled with baby blue grapefruits, cellophane, and spiky succulents, while crooning softly over a dreamy synth. Wet Dream has come a long way since their inception; the group formed in 2016 under the immense pressure of a two week deadline in order to open for French psychedelic punk band, La Femme. For the past two years, the group has been playing with sound, and experimenting within the genre of electro-pop—culminating in their debut album. The band’s sound may seem to be like an amalgamation of Melody’s Echo Chamber and Purity Ring, but Wet Dream is certainly able to pave their own way. The hazy dream pop trio successfully stands alone with their delicate vocals and minimalistic backing. Though the wait until August for the entirety of _Future Nostalgia_ may seem interminable, _Flaunt_ is pleased to premiere Wet Dream’s melodic introduction into their aesthetically pleasing, pastel-hued world now.
