Brooklyn, New York has always been known as a place of reinvention. From its expansive cultural diversity to its array of cuisines and nightlife, the borough remains youthful despite its founding roughly four centuries ago. The North Brooklyn hotel, Arlo Williamsburg, embodies the essence of a neighborhood known for innovation.

Formerly known as The Williamsburg Hotel, Arlo Williamsburg stands at the crossroads of history and modernization. The eight-story hotel is designed by the London-based design firm Michaelis Boyd, known for the timeless layouts of social clubs like the Babington House UK and the Soho House Berlin. The eclectic style of Brooklyn meets service and panache within Arlo Williamsburg. All guest rooms have floor-to-ceiling windows in addition to abundant tile work and upholstery made from reclaimed materials.

Guests can enjoy a wealth of social experiences within the hotel, from high-end dining and craft cocktails to a rooftop pool. Inside Arlo Williamsburg, the Sungold restaurant serves Mediterranean and Italian-influenced cuisine curated by Chef Michael King. Handmade pastas and wood-fired pizzas are made from locally sourced ingredients, while the interiors reflect both the modern and rugged nature of the surrounding borough, conclusive of exposed brick walls and pendant lights.

Both the Mirror Bar and Lobby Bar also draw inspiration from this brutal elegance, with velvet couches lining the Mirror Bar while reclaimed wood and a rainbow art installation outfits the Lobby Bar. Arlo Williamsburg’s rooftop and pool lounge exhibit 360-degree views of the city, as well as a 40-foot swimming pool, live music, poolside appetizers and cocktails.

Undoubtedly the highlight of the rooftop, the Water Tower Bar is a beacon within the Brooklyn skyline and an artistic marvel curated by painter Ryan Wilson, also known as ThankYouX. Wilson scaled the brick wall below the Water Tower to create his “Subtle Reminders” mural, an ode to the hotel’s sweeping views. The rooftop at Arlo Williamsburg is apart of the hotel's ART Rooftop experience, an event series that brings specialty cocktails and food options to the city's most breathtaking rooftops.

Additional art pieces by Brooke Einbender are on display throughout the hotel, accompanied by both complete and in-progress art installations like Charlie Rubin’s iridescent photography wall by Mirror Bar. Along with its social programming, Arlo Williamsburg provides guests with unlimited access to on-demand fitness videos through Alo Moves along with access to the Brooklyn Athletic Club and complimentary bike rentals.

Amidst the ever-moving metroplois, Arlo Williamsburg in North Brooklyn offers an exuberant sanctuary for every guest looking for a little taste of reinvention.
