The Barcelona based sunglasses label [**KALEOS**](https://www.kaleoscollection.com/en_US/) is expanding to ready-to-wear, and the world is definitely ready. The trendy shades have been perched on the faces of some of the most stylish around, receiving acclaims from some special souls such as Lenny Kravitz, Rashida Jones, and Rumer Willis. As if detailed and decorated year-round eyewear wasn’t enough, the brand is giving fast fashion a big “f-you,” and is creating a luxury collection that is hand-stitched and constructed with complexity. At 100 units produced for their collections and sold at an accessible price point starting at $100 and capping at $400. Detail is the designer’s middle name, and we got down to depth of this collection by asking them a little more about this anticipated launch. **With supporting fans such as Lenny Kravitz and Rashida Jones, what kind of style would you say a Kaleo’s customer embodies?**
I beleive that our client has clear ideas, knows which is his style and how to enhance it, but at the same time we have room in a wide range of styles, we play with eclecticism, which is what makes us contemporaneous, for us this collection is a liquid concept everyone can find their piece in it.
**How does being based in Barcelona shape the brand’s aesthetic?**
This is an interesting question, especially since Mediterranean aesthetics have taken over so many strata in recent years. It is undeniable that the relaxation of the city and its open character influence our collections, but I think we are closer to the cosmopolitan and changing concept of the city than to the dreamlike concept of sun and sea.
**It’s clear that KALEOS not only celebrates sunglasses and fashion, but architecture, luxury designs and other artistic mediums. Can you expand on this?**
In a certain way we work with architecture and design as a base. The architecture of both our garments and our glasses is the big difference, as they fit, as the pattern fits the body. This is the meaning of design, so we give importance to the architecture and design of others. We have gone through the same process of research and it has resulted in a perfect piece.
**Why do you think it’s important to pair a good pair of sunglasses with high fashion apparel?**
We started from the same base, self-care. Choose well and with criteria, to look good, with these projects we want to bring quality to a range of people who value purchases and more aware of quality because the future is not the present.
**What are your guys’ (the designers) favorite pieces in the collection?**
Claudia has a special weakness for women's blazers and men's shorts. She also highlights the small details of the women's palazzo.

**In a world of fast fashion, how important is quality and attention to detail to you all?**
It is a change of paradigm, fashion with society is on the move and we are witnessing this change, brands that we bet on working differently and create new ways of working to adapt our desires to quality and tailoring in our case, Spanish.
**We noticed that the collection fuses neutrals with pops of color and patterns. What sparked this specific dichotomous aesthetic and how have you guys been able to fuse it?**
For weeks we worked on the colour cards, we wanted the collection to have a perennial base but to capture the summer light. These are fine garments that can be easily fused with future collections, but KALEOS always has a colorful and casual point and the collection has been given the pink neon in women and yellow in men. We do not see that it is out of tune or discordant, it is simply a note that broadens as we have said before the spectrum of our customers.
**We know the pieces are limited, so how do we get our hands on it?**

**What is next for the future of Kaleos?**
More accessories, and continue with the RTW line, it seems easy but at the moment it is a lot.
