A thoughtful health & wellness routine can assist you in maintaining and improving your health, both physically and mentally. Good health may help increase not only your lifespan, but also improve your life quality. Eating a balanced diet, exercising regularly, getting enough sleep, using the right products for you, and monitoring your health through different diagnostic tools can empower you to live a healthy lifestyle. These are the same sentiments of Natalise Kalea Robinson.
Born of immigrant parents from Myanmar, Natalise knows the value of hard work. Today, she is a renowned wellness enthusiast and entrepreneur helping others improve their health. Her entrepreneurial skills and passion for the business have garnered her various awards, including the Entrepreneur of the Year" award and "Outstanding Female Entrepreneur" awards presented by several outlets.
Natalise is also a celebrated podcaster and co-host of "The Unlikely Journey," a popular podcast where she discusses business strategies, startup life, and health & wellness, amongst other topics.
She discovered her passion for wellness when she was at Stanford GSB. She had always cared deeply for human and animal health, but realized that she really wanted to make an impact in this arena. With this newfound conviction, she sought to discover ways through which she could help others. According to her, the future is precision medicine, precision health, and precision preventative health.
After Stanford, Natalise worked at different startups in executive roles from pet health, mental health to skin health and wellness. These experiences inspired her to start Parallel Health, a clean, science-based skin microbiome health company providing effective, personalized skincare powered by genomics. She uses next-level science, particularly in microbiology, genomic technology, bioinformatics, machine learning, and AI, to optimize human health.
Since its establishment, Parallel Health has uncovered findings around the skin microbiome and what leads to acne, eczema, inflammation and even aging. Under Natalise's leadership, Parallel is set to be recognized as a "World Changing Idea" in Fast Company.
Natalise also believes that life can sometimes be a road full of twists and turns. “In 5-10 years, your life can be very different from what it is today. When the path gets tough, keep going… and don’t be scared to take a detour. You never know where you’re going to end up.”
"When I was 23, I distinctly remember performing at the Arena in Oakland in front of 30,000 people. If someone told me I was going to be a founder of a biotech company that uses genomic sequencing in years to come, I would be like, “Ummm, yeah, not sure about that. But somewhere along the journey, I decided to be open to the waves of life and not be so tied to one identity or another,” Natalise explains.
Natalise aspires to continue supporting human and animal health through science and innovation. She wants to create sustainable solutions that improve a person’s lifespan and health. She even dreams of unlocking the key to autoimmune diseases. To her, the microbiome remains a vital part of this understanding and is the foundation of Parallel Health.
